Hello Everyone,
My inspiring friend, writing coach and teacher, Leslie Keenan, was my guest for Live Your Music today.
Do you have a book – or books – in you? Do you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or afraid to get started? Have you started but are unsure how to complete your book or get it published?
Leslie Keenan has been helping people access their creativity, find time to do what they most love, and complete their writing projects for over thirty years. She works as a writing coach, teacher, editor, and workshop leader.
Today we talked about how she helps writers – and other creative people – get past their inner critics and take the time to "show up" by helping to create a time plan that can work for each person's life.

During the class I took with Leslie (with the same title as her new book, You Can Complete that Book) she had us draw our "inner critics" and for me, mine was one of my grandmothers. Following are some of the "inner critic" drawings you'll find in Leslie's book. My "inner critic" drawing is the one on the bottom right.
My grandmother told me not to put things in writing and she also said I "should" forget about singing. Both are what I call Heart's Desires and they've been with me my whole life.
I am so thankful for Leslie and her helping me get past my "inner critic" so I could write and publish my book The Art of Living a Life You Love!
If you have ever wanted to write a book, or have started writing one but feel stuck or afraid to complete it or get it published, call Leslie and/or read her book!
