My guest for 04/02/14 is Bobbie Neely.
Bobbie Neely has always been a great inspiration to me. She is a role model, teacher, and mentor. I feel extremely lucky to have her as my Mom's younger sister – my Aunt – and as one of my most inspiring and treasured friends.
Bobbie is a wonderful and inspiring example of someone who chose to live the music she heard calling her. Bobbie's greatest desire, aside from being a good mom was to be a super teacher. She truly loved teaching and what she most wanted to do was to teach students to read. Her whole career was about teaching reading and coaching teachers in the language arts field. It makes her happy that she did succeed in doing those things.
During the show I'll be playing a beautiful and inspiring song by Robert Berry. The song's title is You Taught Our Children Well. This very inspiring and beautiful song a thank you to teachers for how they change lives by living the music they hear calling them.
Bobbie is also the creator of a phonics program call "Phonics Magic" which she created to help teachers learn how to teach phonics. You can find her "Phonics Magic" on Amazon.com.
