Tuesday, May 8, 2012, our monthly telegathering call "Feel and Express Your Gratitude, Appreciation, and Love" included an inspiring conversation with my guest Dave Carroll. Our discussion was based on Chapter Twelve of The Art of Living a Life You Love. Chapter Twelve is entitled, "Feel and Express Your Gratitude, Appreciation, and Love."

Call Recording – Guest Dave Carroll - Gratitude, Appreciation & Love - 050812
Our guest, Dave Carroll, is a singer, songwriter, and social media innovator from Halifax, Canada. Following his 2009 YouTube music video release called "United Breaks Guitars" about his poor customer service experience with United Airlines, Dave's career blossomed. He is now a highly sought-after performer, content creator, author, keynote speaker and consumer advocate.
Dave has a wonderful sense of humor as is shown in his music video about United breaking his guitar. Dave's YouTube music video "United Breaks Guitars" has had close to 12,000,000 views! You can watch Dave's video, which is an amusing and non-confrontational way of handling his beloved Taylor guitar being broken, on Dave's website at www.DaveCarrollMusic.com.

The video also inspired Hay House to publish a book by Dave which was released on May 15, 2012. I was glad to have an advance copy to read before the call. I started to read his book the night it arrived and was enjoying it so much I didn't want to put it down! I like the way he writes — and speaks — about his experience. You will hear more about Dave's video, his story, and his new book by listening to the recording of the call.
Dave's book "United Breaks Guitars… The Power of One Voice in the Age of Social Media" is now available to order on Amazon.com. I highly recommend Dave's book. As you will discover when you read it, one voice does have great power in the age of social media!
During the call, we also talked about how Dave's video helped my husband and son have a good experience with United Airlines taking good care of their guitars. We heard about the video just over a week before we were scheduled to fly to Maui in 2009. We are extremely grateful that both my husband's beautiful Taylor guitar and our son's beloved Ovation guitar arrived on Maui safely and also arrived home safely after our celebration vacation.
The photo below shows the two guitars that my husband and son took with them to Maui.
Dudley & Zander – Playing their Taylor & Ovation guitars on Maui
We are grateful that we had a great experience taking guitars to Maui and we appreciate Dave Carroll's video inspiring United Airlines to take better care of their passengers!
Thank you for your thoughtful present of having written this article. The message seems to be given to me specifically. Our son also had a lot to learn from this – though he was the individual that found your site first. Most of us can't imagine a more superb present than a gift to encourage that you do more.
